Great news! Tobey Maguire has a job. It won't be a small role in Ang Lee's upcoming Life of Pi, though, as was reported before, but instead as a narrator and star for Jason Reitman's upcoming Labor Day. He will, according to Vulture, play a man who "flashes back to a memorable Labor Day weekend in his teens when the mysterious Josh Brolin entered his and his mother's (Kate Winslet) lives."
Good to know he isn't mourning the loss of the Spiderman franchise too much.
