Trion Worlds has announced that the first global closed beta event for their upcoming free-to-play military strategy game, End of Nations, will commence at 12:01am EST on Friday, July 20 and continue through Sunday, July 22 at 11:59pm.

To get in on the action, sign up via the official website or keep an eye on the End of Nations Facebook and Twitter accounts, where they'll be handing out beta codes in the coming weeks.

Alternately, you can pre-order the End of Nations "Founder's Edition," which guarantees access to all three closed betas, plus early access to the open beta and a number of other goodies.

Unlike the standard game (which is free), the Founder's Edition costs $29 and comes with a two-month VIP account, 1,000 in-game credits, a 50 percent XP boost for 60 games, a 30 percent store discount, a loot boost for ten wins, the "Motherboard" and "Magma" skin sets, a level five start boost on a new Commander character, an additional commander slot, and a "Founder" forum title so everyone will know how awesome you are.

Yeah, that's a lot of bonuses. If you're still not sold, check out the dev diary above to learn more about the collaboration between RTS vets Petroglyph and MMO studio Trion Worlds. Let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter.
