Sony announced that PSN Play 2012, a summer downloadable game series similar to Microsoft's Summer of Arcade, will kick off on July 24th, running through August 27th.
In those five weeks, four high-profile downloadable games will make their PSN debuts - Sound Shapes, Papo and Yo, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and The Expendables 2 Videogame.
The order of the games' releases and only two of the four games have exact release dates. Sound Shapes, the Sony-exclusive music-making platformer, will come to PSN on August 7th. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's current street date is August 21st. CS:GO, which comes out for XBLA, PSN and PC on the same day, will support PS3/PC cross-platform play.
To encourage players to pick the games up as a package deal, Sony is offering money back when players by any combination of the four games. Picking up two of the four will get you $3 back. Buying three out of four is worth a $6 discount. Purchasing the whole set means you get $10 back. Better still, if you're a Playstation Plus member, all of the games are 20 percent off.
