Only in America could former GOP nominee hopeful Newt Gingrich and Jersey Shore star Snooki appear together on the same late-night program. It is clips like this, and freedom, that make this country so great, really.
Anyway, yeah, Snooki and Gingrich appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, and, more or less, became best friends during the few minutes they shared on stage together. Gingrich compliments Snooki on the fact that she's had books on the New York Times Bestseller list (you know what else was on that list, Snooks? Fifty Shades of Grey. Think about that) and Snooki comments that Gingrich is basically what she aspires to be in life. A 69-year-old GOP nom reject who falls asleep during on-camera interviews? Eh, we could see it happening. Reach for the stars, girl.
