Yesterday, in preparation for today's annual hot dog-eating contest at Coney Island, Mayor Bloomberg spoke at the weigh-in for this year's hopefuls. But the speech didn't sit well with the Mayor (ayo!).
He didn't like how the hot dog puns tasted (ayo!). After punning about winner/wiener (ayo!), he grumbled into the microphone, saying, "Who wrote this shit?" (ayo!). Jump to 2:45 in the video below if you want to hear Mayor Bloomberg say the word shit (ayo!).
At the weigh-in, only the top two competitors hopped on the scales: Joey Chestnut, reigning men's champ, and Sonya Thomas, reigning women's champ.
Today, they'll both be eating many hot dogs.
