Police in Australia seized 1,230 pounds of heroin and crystal—worth about $525 million—that was smuggled into the country inside of terracotta pots. According to Australian Federal Police, four people from Hong Kong and three from Australia were busted in Sydney yesterday, and all of them could face life sentences if convicted.

The 556 pound seizure of heroin was the third-largest of its kind in Australia, while the 675 pound seizure of crystal meth was, indeed, the largest. Promotions are in order. This appears to be part of a year-long investigation, as the DEA informed Australian police about the scheme last August. Authorities would not comment on the origin of the drugs.

That would've made a lot of people very wealthy.
