Square Enix has confirmed that True Blood actress Camilla Luddington is the voice of Lara Croft in the upcoming reboot ofTomb Raider. Luddington is the latest in a long-line of women who've taken on the role of Lara Croft, including Angelina Jolie and Minnie Driver.

The 29 year-old English-born actress was the culmination of an international talent search. Luddington will be doing both the voice work and providing full-body motion capture for the role.

Luddington is best known in the US for her role on Showtime's Californication and as a newly-introduced character on the current season of HBO's True Blood. She also played Dutchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton in Will and Kate, a made-for-TV movie.

"This has been one of the most important jobs for us to get right," said Crystal Dynamics studio chief Darrell Gallagher. "This Tomb Raider game is very different to any other and we are demanding far more from the voice acting than ever before."

Tomb Raider will be in stores on March 5, 2013.
