If you were looking forward to the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical that Sam Mendes was supposed to direct a while back but never did because of the new James Bond movie Skyfall, you're in luck! According to Vulture, the director is back to work on his production of the story by legendary children's author Roald Dahl, and the show is slated to open in London in 2013.

Perhaps if we're lucky, some Skyfall inspiration will carry over into the production. Super badass oompa loompas? Willy Wonka, secretly an illegal arms dealer on the side? A special apperance by Dame Judi Dench? We can dream.
