Mozilla Opens its Own App 'Marketplace'

Better late than never.

Following in the footsteps of Google, Apple, and Amazon, Mozilla, the company behind the popular Firefox browser, has opened its own app store. The Mozilla Marketplace will let users buy and download apps, games, and other add-ons. The Marketplace currently only has around 200 apps, but Mozilla says that number will grow as the store gets more popular. According to reports by Liliputing.com, the apps sold by Mozilla differ from the ones sold in, say, the Google Chrome store in that they can be installed and used like native desktop apps.

Because it's still in its infancy, you'll need to download Firefox 16 Nightly Build in order to access Mozilla Marketplace.
