We have no problem with suspending our disbelief for video games, but now that we think about it, it was a little weird that the protagonist of the old beat-'em-up River City Ransom had to beat up so many dudes to get his girlfriend Cyndi back.
Well, it turns out he might not have been completely honest with you, the player, despite your massive time investment in helping him knock an entire town unconscious.
