Acclaimed comic book writer Alan Moore—the man behind Watchmen, V For Vendetta, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and plenty more—is making his first foray into the world of film with his new project with director Mitch Jenkins titled Act of Faith. According to a press release, this short film stars Siobhan Hewlett (Sherlock, Hotel Babylon, Torchwood) and was recently shot in London.
Act of Faith is just the beginning of a multi-part narrative created by the two titled Show Pieces. The second film in the series, Jimmy's End, will be shot in Southampton later this summer. These first two films will be produced by Lex in association with The Creators Project. Both shorts will premiere at The Creators Project New York event in October 2012, then released via the Creators Project website.
