Take-Two Interactive's recently released earning report has revealed that XCOM has been delayed again, pushing it past March 31st and outside of this financial year. Currently, the game has a largely undefined "fiscal 2014" release window.

XCOM - The FPS adaptation of the franchise, not to be confused with strategy reboot, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which is still set to come out October 9th - was on pace to hit stores in early 2013. Before that, XCOM was supposed to be released on March 6th, 2012.

No reasons were given for the delay, but given that the publisher recently pushed Bioshock Infinite back to February 2013, the decision may have been purely tactical. Still, given how long it's been we're beginning to wonder if we'll ever get the chance to take root out aliens hidden in 1950s suburbia.
