Trailer Park: Will Ferrell And Zach Galifianakis Unleash Bipartisan Hilarity In “The Campaign”

We haven't laughed this hard since Fox claimed it was "Fair and Balanced."

With the 2012 Presidential campaign slowly gearing up, we should be preparing ourselves for an exhausting, and absolutely irritating, few months. Between countless speeches, half-hearted campaign promises, and the deafening coverage from the 24 hour news cycle, it will be impossible to get away from it until November rolls around. So it makes perfect sense for Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis to completely skewer the overblown election process in their new movie The Campaign.

The film follows Cam Brady (Ferrell) as he is about to run unopposed for yet another congressional term; however, dimwitted Marty Huggins (Galifianakis) stumbles along at the last minute to challenge his seat. From there, the trailer turns into rapid fire jokes that all hit the spot perfectly (especially the petting zoo line) while the characters also bear eerie similarities to some real life candidates we have seen in the past.

Between crossbows to the thigh, juvenile trash talk, and a punched baby, The Campaign looks like the type of unabashed mindless comedy that Ferrell and Galifianakis are experts at. Don't expect smart political satire here, but when you have such a talented cast, you're guaranteed some great laughs.

We'll see if The Campaign can be funnier than the real Presidential election when it hits theaters on August 10.
