If you were hoping to see the upcoming The Evil Dead remake, Evil Dead 4: Consequences, we've got some bad news: The original creator of the series, Sam Raimi, doesn't want you to. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Raimi is suing Award Pictures - the production company that's creating the new film - in hopes of preventing the movie's release.
The reboot just began production last week, with Award Pictures claiming that because Raimi didn't produce his own sequel for a lengthy amount of time and because he's previously said he never would. According to Award, that means the Evil Dead franchise has been abandoned - leaving it open for them to produce their own reboot.
More information on this as it becomes available.
