Blizzard Is "Always" Looking For Ways To Put "World Of Warcraft" On iPhones

They haven't given up on mobile WoW.

None

World of Warcraft has yet to make an appearance outside its PC comfort zone, but that doesn't mean Blizzard isn't trying to get the addictive MMO on other platforms. The iPhone, of course, would be perfect, and it would finally allow WoW players to take their obsession everywhere with them. Just watch out when they're crossing the street, because they're not going to look up.

The game's senior producer, John Lagrave, told Eurogamer, "Here's your platform, you've got to put an interface, what do you do? So yes we have [looked into mobile] and we always are. Maybe we'll stumble on the great way to put WOW on the phone - maybe we won't, but we're certainly looking into it.

"We won't do it until we think it's decent. But it's interesting and the world is evolving towards that little handheld device - I'd have fun on it, that's absolutely the case. It would be foolish for any game developer to not be looking at that."

He mentioned the Mobile Armory app that's currently available as an example of what sort of simplistic implementations are currently possible on the iOS platform. "When we have an epiphany, everyone will know," he added. "But for now, no epiphany!"

Would you go out more if you could take WoW with you? You could play it in class, at work, in a movie, while you're driving—oh god, we hope this happens soon. Let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter.
