Anonymous subgroup The Consortium announced itself to the online world by hacking porn studio Digital Playground, stealing its database of films, as well as member logins and credit card data.
The hackers first gained root access to DP’s servers, which, in turn, gave them entry to everything from corporate e-mail accounts to the company’s conference call system. In total, 72,000 customers have been affected and over 50 porn titles will eventually make their way to some free streaming site by week’s end. Further punctuating their whole Robin Hood steez, the hackers mercifully will not be releasing any customer credit card info, explaining, “…[We] do this for the love of the game not for profit and these peoples only crime was wanting some porn.”
