We reported almost a month ago that Microsoft was working on a fix for the issues a small number of players were experiencing with their Xbox Live video playback, and yesterday those issues were fixed in a mandatory patch for all users.

The issue, introduced with the most recent Xbox 360 autumn dashboard update, was in video playback colors appearing washed out for some users. The patch should take care of it once and for all—as soon as video app developers implement it into their own apps as well, according to Major Nelson.

It took Microsoft a long time to acknowledge that there actually was an issue, but like with most things, they caved once enough people made a fuss about it. What should Microsoft fix next? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
