Good news for PS3 gamers, as Activision's just announced that the Modern Warfare 3 content season for Call of Duty Elite members will kick off on Sony's big black box Feb. 28. It would have been better news for PS3 gamers if they had started getting this content on Jan. 24 like Xbox 360 players did, but better late than never, right?

Call of Duty Elite is a subscription service that includes competitions, clan support, exclusive video content, dlc, and more. The first two content drops will be new maps: Piazza, a compact, seaside village in Italy "where attacks from behind, above and below are an ever-constant threat," and Liberation, "a vast, militarized landscape, ripe for long-range sniper and LMG fire, with mounted turrets on either end," set in Central Park. Both will be available to Elite Premium members on Feb. 28.

More content is set to drop over the next nine months—check the video above, released alongside the announcement of the content on 360 last month, for a preview. If the PS3 drops continues to hit a month after the 360 ones, PS3 gamers should be able to expect all the DLC by the end of October. Do you feel gipped? Are you even a COD Elite subscriber?
