What happens when Donkey Kong suddenly wants to be a good guy? Actually, that's what Donkey Kong Country was about. Bad example.

In any case, DIsney's got a new CG animated film in the works, and it's inspired by the world of gaming. The plot: in the 8-bit arcade title Fix-It Felix, Wreck-It Ralph is forever the bad guy, despite just doing his job. In typical Disney fashion, he secretly wants to be a good guy, so he escapes his decades-old game cabinet and invades some modern games—including a first person shooter—accidentally unleashing a deadly virus (or something) and enlisting the help of a carefree kart-racing "glitch" along the way.

Ralph is voiced by John C. Riley, and the rest of the cast includes Jane Lynch, Sarah Silverman and Jack McBrayer. Doesn't that sound adorable? Slashfilm called it "sort of Toy Story in an arcade game". The three new images above are courtesy them as well. Wreck-It Ralph comes out Nov. 2—are you pumped?
