Gran Turismo 5 is Getting an "XL Edition" With Tons of Extras

"Gran Turismo 5" is officially getting the XL Edition that collects all of the updates and DLC for a lowered price.

Following up on a story we posted a couple weeks ago on Gran Turismo 5, all of the confusion regarding it's "XL Edition" should be cleared down below.

The Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition will have the original game plus $20 worth of it's DLC, and it will be available on January 17th for the lowered price of $39.99. With it, you'll get all of the updates up to Spec 2.0, and that's pretty much all there is to know. So actually it's like you're getting Gran Turismo 5 for $20, right? Personally, I don't play many racing games, and I've always been more into arcade style fare like Motorstorm and Split/Second. But if you're into precise controls and photo-realistic racing, it's hard to beat Gran Turismo.

For myself, I usually have a tendency to wait for a new game to re-release months later with a slew of DLC at a discounted price. That said, I will finally be picking up Gran Turismo 5 when it releases this time around, and give it the shot I'm sure it deserves.

Anybody else looking to pick this up, now that the whole thing has been sweetened up a bit?
