In addition to it being Christmas, today marks the 100th day of Occupy Wall Street and the Zuccotti Park faithful are celebrating with a day of prayer and service. Oh, and of course protest. It all jumped of at midnight with a prayer service, and Occupy Faith wants to keep it going with 24 hours of festivities.
A 9 a.m. breakfast will be followed by a reading of Dr. Martin Luther King's “Beyond Vietnam” at noon. There will be a potluck holiday meal donations beginning at 3 p.m., communion at 4 p.m. and poetry, music and storytelling from 5 p.m. through midnight.
Occupy Faith even had letters detailed their plan hand delivered to the NYPD and Brookfield Homes by the ACLU, so there will be no interruptions.
