With Newt Gingrich making a leap in the polls, it comes as no surprise that the Republican presidential hopeful has fought his way to his current position. It is also no surprise where the former Speaker of the House's loyalty lies when the subject turns to the #OccupyWallStreet movement. "All the Occupy movement starts with the premise that we all owe them everything," he complained at the weekend GOP forum in Iowa.

As he spoke to a Republican crowd on Saturday, Gingrich attacked the protesters, saying, "That is a pretty good symptom of how much the left has collapsed as a moral system, and why you need to reassert something as simple as saying to them: 'Go get a job, right after you take a bath.'" It is sentiments like that that reek of hypocrisy—especially from someone who isn't so squeaky clean themselves. 2012 is quickly approaching and with Newt inviting scrutiny to his past and present—does the future seem fresh for the former Speaker?
