Earlier this month during New York Comic-Con, the pop culture parody show Robot Chicken announced they'll make the heroes of the DC Comics universe their focus of an upcoming animated special Similar to the show's very popular Star Wars skewerings, Robot Chicken teases the event with this clip featuring Green Lantern Hal Jordan and his arch-nemesis Sinestro.
In the battle, Sinestro goes over the edge and relieves Jordan of his hands in an extremely bloody fashion. Now handless, the protector of space sector 2814 returns to Oa to be fitted for a new ring, and we gotta say that it's not the kind of jewelery we were expecting. You can watch this hilarious clip above, but unfortunately, there is no set air date yet for the special episode. All we have to go on is Head of DC Entertainment Geoff Johns saying that Robot Chicken's DC Comics Summer Special will premiere around that time in 2012.
