Trailer Park: Watch An Exclusive Clip From "The Awakening"

Warning: The following clip contains a truly unnerving dollhouse.

While director Nick Murphy's (Heroes and Villains) period piece horror story, The Awakening, isn't ready to hit U.S. shores yet, we have a new clip from the 1920s spook tale above. Set in post-World War I England in 1921, the film follows a skeptical woman named Florence Cathcart who travels to a countryside boarding school to investigate rumors of an apparaent haunting. Just when you can say, "I ain't afraid of no ghosts," Florence (played by Rebecca Hall) has a chilling spectral encounter which defies all her rational beliefs.

What she discovers will prompt her to reconsider her deductive tactics — and send her mind spiraling back to a distant, forgetten past. Dominic West (The Wire) and Imelda Staunton (UK's Doctor Who) are set to join the ghostbusting experience. Empire premiered the clip, but with this and Daniel Radcliffe's The Woman In Black, could we have two potentially strong period terror tales for 2012?
