Around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, some genius drove his SUV into the Dana Point Harbor according to The OC Register. Apparently, this dude continued to drive straight when he should’ve followed the curve in the road and ended up eight feet deep in ocean water.
Luckily, he was right by the Orange County Sheriff Department’s harbor office, and they were able to respond immediately. The driver escaped the car, which was pulled out of the water by two trucks after about 90 minutes. Authorities don’t suspect that alcohol played a part in this mishap, and the master navigator was not cited. The embarrassment of driving straight into the ocean is enough punishment.
