First Look: "The Three Stooges" Teaser Poster Arrives Online

While we're really not sure about the lazy tagline, it's at least a sign that the thing is finally on its way.

It took a long series of stops and starts before Peter and Bobby Farrelly's The Three Stooges got off the ground. After playing the dozens with names like Jim Carrey, Sean Penn, and Justin Timberlake—the cast is in place with Sean Hayes (Larry), Will Sasso (Curly) and Chris Diamantopoulos (Moe) in the leading roles. Now, courtesy of 20th Century Fox, a teaser poster has just been uploaded to the Three Stooges official site.

What looks like a Nike ad gone horribly awry, the tagline is really boring, and doesn't do much to generate much buzz. If you notice the weirdly cropped studio logo at the bottom left, it seems like someone over at Fox gave a designer a vicious noogie while working. Either way, we're hoping that a trailer will follow soon because we'd like to see how these actors come across in their roles. The Brothers Farrelly have also surrounded their Stooges with ample comedic talent with Jane Lynch, Jennifer Hudson, Sophia Vergara, and Larry David all cast in supporting roles. They'll help move around the three 27-minute segments, which involves the three guys trying to solve a murder mystery, and end up with their own reality TV show.

Leave us your thoughts in the comments section below, and keep an eye out as The Three Stooges will hit theaters on April 4, 2012.
