Forget the recent string of earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, and hurricanes that have hit the area recently, the real sign of the impending apocalypse comes straight from Deadline, which has announced that 28 million people watched last night's season premiere of Two And A Half Men, on which Ashton Kutcher replaced Charlie Sheen.

Thepremiere compared favorably with "event shows" like American Idol, Dancing With The Stars, and Monday Night Football, and also doubled its ratings from last year's season premiere in the highly-coveted 18-49 year old category. This number is also much larger than any episode of the show that Charlie Sheen was in, so apparently all of that "winning" talk was a little premature.

It remains a mystery as to whether or not audiences will continue to watch Two And A Half Men in such record numbers. We're willing to bet that the ratings will be down considerably over the next few weeks after people realize what a complete douche Ashton Kutcher is. But even if the show loses half of its viewers, it will still be watched by enough people to keep us in a constant state of denial.
