On Deck this Week (9/18/2011)

Are you ready to curb stomp some bitches? We hope so...

None

Don’t look now, new releases are just a few days away. This week is all about Gears... Gears of War 3 that is. Epic’s finale to the Marcus Fenix trilogy is here and doesn’t appear to be taking any prisoners. If by chance curb stomping and chainsaw-laden machine guns aren’t your thing, we’re sure you can find something else in this week’s new releases to satisfy your gaming urges...

  • Dragon Quest Monsters- Joker 2 for Nintendo DS: Fans of Square Enix’s Dragon Quest series rejoice as the sequel to the original Joker release is here. It has taken the game more than a year to make the translation from the original Japanese release, hopefully the 300 plus monsters featured in the game will be worth the wait...
  • F1- 2011 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3: Formula 1 racing at its finest hits both major home consoles this week. Handheld players don’t need to feel left out as both Vita and 3DS versions of the game have been announced for a later date.
  • Gears of War 3 on Xbox 360: Do Marcus Fenix and his crew really need an introduction? Jacinto has fallen, the Locust have been pushed back, but the biggest threat to mankind is beginning to show its (glowing) face as the Lambent are emerging to finish off the human race. Brothers to the end people, brothers to the end...
  • Harvest Moon- Tale of Two Cities on Nintendo DS: Farming simulation fancy your liking? If so, Natsume has the game for you with the latest Harvest moon release. Fans of the series can expect new animals and equipment in the game... exciting, huh? (/sarcasm)
  • Kirby- Mass Attack on Nintendo DS: What is pink, cute, and can swallow you whole? No, no, get your mind out of the gutter... I am talking about Kirby. The floating pink puffball is back in an all new adventure. This time around, Kirby has been ripped into pieces and you will need to make yourself whole again in order to defeat the evil Necrodius.
  • Shin Megami Tensai- Persona 2 Innocent Sin on PlayStation Portable: The second chapter in the Persona saga hits Sony’s portable this week. Picking up just a few short years following the events of the first game, players will take control of up to 6 different characters in an all new adventure.
  • Supremacy MMA on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3: If you like a little bit of “ruggedness” in your MMA games, 505 Games has the answer for you. UFC Undisputed is no longer the only game in town (yeah, we have completely ignored EA’s series) as Supremacy MMA steps into the ring this week.
