We reported back in March that Juno Temple had joined the cast of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, but we had very few details about her role. All we knew at the time was that she would play a "street-smart Gotham girl" and it seemed that Nolan's secretive ways had won this round. But according to Total Film, Temple's participation may see her as Anne Hathaway's sidekick, Holly Robinson.

First seen in Frank Miller's Batman: Year One, the character of Holly Robinson is a young prostitute who lives with her friend and mentor Selina Kyle (Hathaway), and has even taken over the Catwoman role for a brief period. In the article, Temple neither confirmed nor denied the assumption, but she does add some steam to the rumor mill, saying, "I can't talk about that, but I think it's going to be fricking unbelievable. Nolan is awesome!"

There have been plenty of unconfirmed statements made about The Dark Knight Rises. We've already ignored fluff about Harley Quinn and that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play Boy Wonder Robin. But does Juno's vagueness belie that Total Film was right or will you wait for an official word from Warner Bros. or Christopher Nolan?

The Dark Knight Rises is the last installment in the Batman series directed by Christopher Nolan. It will zipline into theaters on July 20, 2012.
