MTV has debuted the first clip from the prequel to John Carpenter's horror masterpiece The Thing. In mind-boggling fashion, the prequel is also titled The Thing; most likely in a vain attempt to fool people into thinking they're about to watch the original.
This clip isn't bad, but the atmosphere seems a bit flat and the cheap scare is a little predictable. We weren't completely blown away by the first trailer for this movie; however, we also thought Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes would be a bust too, so we'll see. Chances are we'll have to wait for the movie to be released to get a full-on clear view of the film's titular shape-shifting monster, though.
