Anybody born before the year 1990 remembers the original Paul Verhoeven version of Total Recall, right? Director Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard) has been tasked with the job of rebooting the franchise and promises us that the 2012 release will feature the return of the three-breasted lady prostitute.
Collider got a chance to sit down with Wiseman to get his perspective on what his favorite scenes from the original film were. He hints that there will definitely be plenty of easter eggs to spot in the remake. He said, "After I read the script I wrote a list out of the things that I remembered and I wanted to shoot different versions of the three-breasted woman." "You can't make Total Recall without certain things."
Wiseman did add that the film will be rated PG-13, but whatever the censors remove, will end up on the DVD. We guess that's why he shot so many versions of the legendary mutant prostitute. He wants to make sure that at least one nip-slip gets by the MPPC.
Bryan Cranston, Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Ethan Hawke, and Jessica Biel all star in Total Recall, which will be in theaters on August 3, 2012.
