It looks like the rumored comedy that would bring Sean Hayes back to NBC is coming into focus. EW reports that Hayes will team with Rescue Me co-creator Peter Tolan for an untitled new comedy about two gay men raising a 12-year-old child.
The show is still in development stages currently, but NBC and Hayes are hoping to fast-track it to air. The sense is that audiences are comfortable with the idea of a family comedy centered around a loving relationship between two men after witnessing something similar on Modern Family.
Hayes was last seen on television in a regular capacity on Will & Grace.
