Rumor: Is Disney Planning "Epic Mickey 2" For 2012?

The first game sold 1.4 million copies. With those kinds of numbers, a sequel is a no-brainer.

None

Gaming website Destructoid has some pretty ingenious readers. How so? Well, according to an alleged leaked, someone dug up some online marketing materials, and it would appear that Disney Interactive Studios are planning another adventure for Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Yes, we could see potentially see Epic Mickey 2 in 2012! Consider this all rumor for now, but Destructoid also found four potential box art designs for the sequel, co-op gameplay details, and more.

How much more, you ask? The detailed description lists the game for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii consoles. With the co-op mode, players would be able to play as Mickey in single-player mode or two gamers can use magic paint and paint thinner as Mickey and Oswald, respectively. The choices you and your partner make can and will alter the story; changing the end of the game. No word on if Junction Point Studios, helmed by the legendary Warren Spector, will develop the sequel, but we shall see if there's some truth to this rumor.
