It looks like The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret just made a great one. Decision, that is. The IFC series will feature Mad Men star Jon Hamm on five of its six episodes during season two, as Hamm has just signed on for a recurring role.

No word yet on what part he'll play, but considering the outlandish plot of season one (which included the titular Todd Margaret being arrested on terrorism charges), here's hoping it's something loony. (See Hamm's great 30 Rock guest turn for reference to his loony bona fides.)

David Cross and Will Arnett co-star in Todd Margaret, which means AD and Mad Men cross-over fanfic writers, have immediately gotten themselves a boat-load of material.

The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret returns to IFC in January.
