ASUS Announces Glasses-Free 3D Gaming Laptop

Just like a 3DS, but bigger...and with more games.

Mere months after the Nintendo 3DS launch, ASUS has unveiled the first laptop to feature a glasses-free 3D display. The Republic of Gamers G53SX harnesses a GeForce 560M graphics chip—which doesn't seem like it would be powerful enough to render standard 3D viewing on the 15-inch 1920x1080 screen.  Maybe the technology that handles the glasses-free 3D is more efficient, but we’ll have to wait for performance reports to be certain. Love the 3D craze or hate it, it’s apparently here to stay; we're just guessing that ASUS is hoping the 3DS' sales aren't indicative of its fiscal future. [via PC Gamer]
