If you've read any of Daniel Clowes work, you know to regard the title of his new work, Mister Wonderful, with suspicion. Or at least you know well enough to recognize it as sarcastic. Nothing wonderful ever happens to Clowes' characters. That would violate his worldview.
Tomorrow night at the Strand, Clowes will discuss this new comic. Mister Wonderful chronicles one eventful night in the life of Marshall, a cynic waiting around for a blind date to show. To give anything else away would spoil the surprises.
The reading is free.
