There's nothing funny about being stalked...unless it's by the ultra-funny Anna Faris. Paramount Pictures is thinking the same thing and has just picked up a pitch from the comedic actress for an as-yet-untitled film revolving around just that type of dodgy attention.

For what's being billed as a "stalker comedy," screenwriter Deanna Kizis and producer Palak Patel were inspired by an incident that happened to Faris in real life. was inspired by a real-life incident. While details of the plot are under wraps, the intention is to make something similar to the Jim Carrey flick The Cable Guy.

Faris will next star in Fox's What's Your Number?, alongside Chris Evans (Captain America: The First Avenger), which opens September 30.
