Seems like the Poke-madness shall never die. Nintendo released their first-day sales figures for PokemonBlack and White yesterday, and the combined sales of the DS titles (since, in keeping with the series, Black and White are slightly separate versions sold separately) came out to 1.08 million copies in one day. That beats the previous single-day sales record set by Pokemon Diamond and Pearl's 780,000 copies in April 2007. So creature-capturing and ball-throwing—in 2D, no less—is still clearly a profitable enterprise in this day and age. Glad to see at least one thing from the ’90s still going strong. Besides Raekwon, we mean. [via Game Informer]
