"Following a memorable time in Nizhny Novgorod, the band and I headed to Kazan (the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia). Our mode of transport? The Trans-Siberian Express. Perhaps a bit of a misnomer, the Trans-Siberian Express is not a fast train. Although the train boasted neither wi-fi nor food car, the eight-hour trip was pleasant. After a few games of chess (and a little vodka), the steady rocking of the behemoth from a bygone era lulled us to sleep. Tonight we make our way from Kazan to Yekaterinburg. This trip, again on the Trans-Siberian, will be a bit longer...about 16 hours! Stay tuned..."
