Lionsgate has begun casting for Silent Hill: Revelations which started filming in Toronto yesterday (March 7). The scarefest sequel directed by Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane, Deathwatch) will be a stand-alone movie trying to remain true to the plot of the Silent Hill 3 video game. Bloody Disgusting got the exclusive word (and first image) that Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) has signed on to play Heather Mason with Sean Bean (Black Death, Silent Hill) is negotiating to return as her adoptive father, Harry Mason.

The 3-D horror flick finds Heather, on the eve of her 18th birthday, being "plagued with horrible nightmares" and suffering with the disappearance of her father. Journeying to the mysterious town known as Silent Hill the revelations Heather learns leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens all that she holds dear. What's really spooky about all of this is that Bean, who was in the first film, is offered an entirely new role. Add to the mix, Game of Thrones' Kit Harington to the cast, and you got quite a fright-fest on your hands.

No release date is set for the movie yet.
