Remember netbooks? Those mini-laptops that packed about as much power as a smartphone? Well, Taiwanese company Acer was at the forefront of the movement, offering a wide selection of netbooks for cheap. And then even cheaper, because no one really bought them. Then, to make matters worse, the tablet touched down.
Recognizing the need for a game-changer in the tablet space, Acer is readying a dual-touchscreen model, dubbed the Iconia-6120. Priced at $1,200—the thinking, it seems, is double the screens, double the price—the Iconia-6120 features two 14-inch touchpanels, a 64GB hard drive, 4GB of memory, an Intel Core i5 processor, and Windows 7 OS. No mention of the battery life just yet, though one would assume that two screens would present a major power suck.
