Vote: Should Leonardo DiCaprio Play J. Edgar Hoover?

Check out the first shot of DiCaprio as controversial FBI figure J. Edgar Hoover and judge for yourself.

hooverSay what you want about Ronald Reagan but you can't deny that he was playing from J. Edgar Hoover's playbook. Clint Eastwood promises COINTELPRO, cross-dressing, conspiracies, and controversy on the menu for his next movie J. Edgar, which is expected to hit theaters in 2012. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio as the longtime FBI director, Moviefone caught a glimpse at the could-be Oscar-contender taking a break from filming, and we have to say that the similarities are pretty non-existent.

The real Hoover was 40-years-old when he became the first Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and it seems DiCaprio just can't get rid of being forever baby-faced. J. Edgar also features The Social Network's Armie Hammer as Hoover's alleged lover, Clyde Tolson, and Naomi Watts as J. Edgar's loyal secretary, Helen Gandy. Eastwood and company are currently shooting in Los Angeles.
