It looks like Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein are going to be putting birds on things for the foreseeable future. IFC has announced that they've renewed Portlandia for a second season.

The cult-y sketch comedy series focuses on life in the Pacific Northwest—specifically Portland, obviously—and has featured guest stars ranging from Steve Buscemi to Aubrey Plaza to real-life Portland mayor, Sam Adams (not that Sam Adams). Led by Armisen and former Sleater-Kinney guitarist Brownstein, the show traffics in the absurd (think Kids In The Hall), but also the viral (think SNL Digital Shorts). Watch "Dream of the '90s" below to get an idea.

Portlandia airs Fridays at 10:30 p.m. on IFC; Season Two will kick-off in January of 2012.
