All the World of Warcraft heads out there know the term "Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game." But gamers everywhere are gonna need to add a new term to their black book of gaming definitions: "Massively Multiplayer Melee Fighting Action." Yes, that's MMMFA.
The mad scientists at Platinum Games have announced their latest project, Max Anarchy, a new action game where large groups of baddies will be available for player punishment. Max Anarchy's producer, Atsushi Inaba, likened his new project to a fighting game, but one entirely different from the norm. Max Anarchy will play host to a story driven story mode along with loads of mulitiplayer content. And the icing on the cake? Jack, from Platinum Games' Wii gorefest Madworld, is making a special appearance.
We're inclined to trust this game's potential: Anything coming from the studio responsible for a sexy Sarah Palin/witch hybrid and a guy in a mechanized super suit is bound to be worth a look. [via IGN]
