Meek Mill made an appearance on Ebro in the Morning on Hot 97 Thursday ahead of the release of Wins And Losses. Meek’s third studio album will drop Friday.

Stream the artist’s wide-ranging, 37-minute conversation with Ebro and Laura Stylez above.

Ebro and Meek hit on a wide variety of topics, including “Shether,” Meek’s personal development, his beef with Safaree Samuels, his perspective on the Drake conflict, and his former relationship with Nicki Minaj.

In “Shether,” the diss track from Remy Ma aimed at Minaj, Remy threw shots at both Ebro and Meek.

“Coke head, you cheated on your man with Ebro/I might leak the footage of you sniffin' them ski slopes,” Remy rapped of Nicki.

Remy also had a line about Meek telling her that Nicki’s “ass dropped.”

At the 0:18 mark, Ebro asked Meek why he didn’t give him a heads up about the song via text. Meek said, “She put me on blast, too.”

“I just was participating in all the bullshit because when I’m in bullshit everybody participating too and I don’t give a fuck,” he continued. “It ain’t really about none of that. It’s just fun and games.”

Throughout the interview, they also talked extensively about Meek’s personal growth.

“I just turned 30, man,” the MMG rapper said. “I be on some positive, grown-man, get-to-the-money type vibe. What can you do? You gonna be Instagramming and Tweeting and throwing shots popping shit forever? We gotta live real life, too. It’s two sides to that. I think people be getting caught up in the twilight zone, they forget that it’s OK to put your phone down.”

At the 2:20 mark, Ebro asked about the run-in between Meek’s crew and Safaree at a pre-BET Awards party.

“I ain’t really handle him like that,” Meek said. “He got manhandled on his own time… I ain’t really got no issue with him.”

Meek went on to add, however, that if you’re dissing someone on the internet, things could get real if you run into that person in real life.

“I’m done,” Meek said. “I’m out of that situation with the girl. What I’ma do? I ain’t got no problem with him. But for everybody else, too, when you get up in that, remember, it’s a certain way. I’m from Philly. We handle things a certain type of way.”

While we’re on the topic of Meek’s beefs, he also addressed his feud with Drake at the 7:20 mark. He said he regrets the way he handled it.

“I was out of control at that point, the way I was coming at everybody,” Meek said. “I offended a lot of people at that point... I think I could have approached things better, but it is what it is.”

Meek said he thinks they’ll have a conversation “eventually, one day”—but he wants to handle it in his time and his way.

The overarching theme of the interview was Meek “trying to level up as a person.” He said he “was moving wrong for a minute” and was sipping lean and popping Percocets, but he has moved on from that time in his life.

“I’m a hustler,” Meek said. “Where I come from, if you were on pills and syrup, you were like a cornball for real for real… Us hustlers, we get money.”

Meek doesn’t do any of that anymore, he said, because that “was just escaping reality.”
