Wiz Khalifa hasn’t released a full-length retail project since 2016’s Khalifa, but he’s filled the void with free music since the calendar turned to 2017. Saturday, Wiz released a four-track EP via SoundCloud entitled Bong Rips. Wiz made the announcement via a brief Twitter post, telling potential listeners, “Here’s another qp for y’all to smoke,” while using the hashtag #BongRips.

Bong Rips features Taylor Gang’s Chevy Woods as well as Desiigner, with Girl Talk, Ricky P, and DP Beats handling production.

The free EP marks the second offering of new music this month for Wiz, following the June 3 release of his Pre-Rolleds EP. That four-track body of work also featured a heavy dose of Chevy Woods, while longtime collaborator Sledgren handled work behind the boards.

There have been rumblings about Wiz Khalifa’s Rolling Papers 2 album since Wiz dropped “More and More” back in June of 2016. Aside from the title revisiting subject matter familiar to Wiz since 2009’s Burn After Reading, the upcoming sequel album could potentially position itself next to one of Wiz’s biggest commercial successes to date.

The original Rolling Papers featured “Black And Yellow,” which went on to peak at the No. 1 spot on Billboard magazine’s “Hot 100” singles during a 25-week stint on the chart. Rolling Papers has since been certified as double platinum, while the Recording Industry Association of America has certified “Black And Yellow” as having six million certified digital units sold.
