As we count down the days to SZA’s debut album release, the TDE artist has given fans another single off the long-awaited project. Exactly one week ahead of the big day, she delivered “Broken Clocks”—a mid-tempo cut about optimism and perseverance.

“Run fast from my day job/Running fast from the way it was/Jump quick to a pay check/Running back to the strip club/I'm never going back, never going back,” she sings. “[…] I've paid enough of petty dues/I've had enough of shitty news.”

“Broken Clocks” marks the third release off of SZA’s upcoming album CTRL. She blessed fans with the lead single, “Drew Barrymore,” back in January, and dropped the second single, “Love Galore” featuring Travis Scott, about a month ago. But there was still one big question amongst her fans: When, if ever, would CTRL drop? We finally got our answer last week when SZA released the project’s trailer.

Narrated by RZA, the video showed the singer in front of a pile of old electronics. The video ended with CTRL’s release date: June 9.

While you wait for the album to drop, you can listen to “Broken Clocks” on Apple Music or download it on iTunes.
