Ten years after his death, Stack Bundles fans will get a chance to hear unreleased music from the Queens rapper later this year.

Today (June 11) marks the 10th anniversary of Stack’s murder. In 2007, it was reported that he died execution-style in the lobby of his Far Rockaway home from several gunshots. When Chinx died in May 2015, NYPD believed there was a connection to their deaths, as they were carried out in similar ways.

Bynoe, a member of the Riot Squad, shared the news on Instagram.

At 24, Stack Bundles, real name Rayquon Elliott, was a rising underground MC who created buzz through the group’s Riot Squad mixtapes and freestyles. He was affiliated with DJ Clue’s Dessert Storm family and a member of Jim Jones’ Byrdgang crew. Chinx, who was once an artist to watch out of French Montana's Coke Boys, has said in previous interviews that Stack was instrumental in getting his rap career off the ground. To showcase how we've lost a talent so young, here’s an iconic Hot 97 freestyle from 2007.

Since his death, rappers such as JR Writer, Lil Wayne, Joe Budden, and Jae Millz have paid tribute over the years. A few months after Chinx died, his debut album, Welcome to JFK, featured an unreleased verse from Stacks on “Far Rock.”Legends Never Die, released in 2016, featured a Riot Squad posse cut titled “All Good.” To celebrate Stack’s birthday, Bynoe posted an unreleased song called “What U Want Me to Do,” which you can hear below:

The Rock’s Star is set to release in October through EMPIRE.
