Hanson Compares Justin Bieber's Music to Getting an STD in Your Ear

Don't expect a Hanson x Bieber collab anytime soon.

Before we begin, let's lay out two basic truths. Hanson's 1997 single "MMMBop" is great. The family trio's foray into alcohol, which of course includes a pale ale named MMMHops, is also pretty great. Procuring chlamydia, however, is decidedly not great. And that's why Hanson's recent remarks on the musical stylings of Justin Bieber are such a goddamn bummer.

Isaac, Taylor, and Zac Hanson stopped by Adelaide's Hit 107 to discuss their Australian tour Monday. During the appearance, Hanson was subjected to "Whose Song Is It Anyway," a game comprised of guessing the artists behind songs using only a short snippet as a clue. After the band missed the Bieber-assisted remix of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito," a comparison was made between a fictional, ear-based form of chlamydia and the Purpose singer.

"I prefer not to get any venereal diseases," a Hanson brother said, as spotted by Mashable Monday. "So whenever Justin Bieber gets sort of near me or near my ears . . . It's just, ear infections. They're terrible." Another Hanson brother then chimed in with this:

Chlamydia of the ear. It sucks.

Listen to the full, loosely chlamydia-themed segment below.

I've never gotten chlamydia of the ear, but it sounds fucking rough.

At the time of this writing, Bieber had not responded to Hanson's casually fired shots.
