Eminem surprised graduates inside the Dort Federal Event Center in Flint, Michigan with Beats by Dre headphones on Tuesday night. The crowd was directed to a video board showing a photo of the rapper as he relayed a congratulatory message to the graduating class. "What’s up Class of 2017? This is Eminem. I just want to say congratulations to the graduating seniors of Flint Northwestern, Flint Southwestern and Flint Accelerated Learning Academy," Em said. "Congrats to all your guys’ hard work, man. You earned this moment.”

After finding out that they were going to receive their diplomas and a free pair of Beats by Dre headphones, the graduates were clearly excited over the surprise gift. Flint Northwestern senior Betty Davis admitted that she expected to just hear a message from Eminem and nothing more. "I thought he was just going to give his speech on the speaker and it just was going to be that," she told MLive. "I greatly appreciate Eminem for giving out like he did. He didn't have to and the fact that he can see so much potential in Flint and Flint students, it just makes the gift so much more worth keeping."

It's the second time in less than year that Eminem and his Marshall Mathers Foundation have done something special for students in Flint. Back in August, Em and his foundation teamed up with the Kids In Need Foundation to give more than 240 backpacks filled with school supplies to the kids attending Freeman Elementary.
